In President Trump’s first 100 days in office, what have been his accomplishments?
Let’s look at what he promised when he was campaigning:
#1. Repeal and Replace Obamacare–did not do in his first 100 days, but congress since then has put an offer on the table, which is now in the senate.
#2. A ban on Muslims–that he did, but the courts blocked him because it’s unconstitutional.
#3 Bring jobs back–well not yet, but has had a good jobs report since his 100 days
#4. Start the Dakota Pipeline with American steal–That he did, but not with American steal. To be exact, it was with Russian steal.
#5. Renegotiate the NAFTA deal–nope not done.
#6. Renegotiate the Iran deal–no he now thinks it’s an O.K plan, but could have been better.
#7. “Drain the swamp”–no not that either. If anything he has made the swamp bigger by only hiring people from Wall Street to fill his cabinet.
#8. He did put his Supreme Court Judge in.
#9. Deport illegal immigrants that are criminals–yes he’s doing that, but also deporting people without a criminal background.
And the big one, #10. Build the wall and Mexico will pay for it–no, Mexico is not going to pay for the wall, but the American people will. The wall is starting to look like an elaborate fence.
President Trump has had thirty-five executive orders in his first 100 days, but we can’t read too much into this. Every president before him has not really had too many accomplishments in their first 100 days. The first 100 days is just for show. People should really count the first 365 days of a sitting president. I think we need to be patient and see in a year. Then we can say if he has done a good job or a bad job.
